First Fundraising Goal Reached
Thanks to all my generous contributors, I was able to reach my first fundraising goal of $1500. This morning, I will be officially signing up to get the certificate in youth discipleship from Fuller Youth Institute. This is something that just a year or two ago I thought would take me years to be able to afford. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for each person that contributed and believe that it was the Lord that provided a way when there didn't seem to be a way.
What I Plan to Purchase With These Contributions
Thanks to those who contributed, these are the items that I will be purchasing to help me grow my publishing ministry
- An online certificate in youth discipleship from Fuller Youth Institute, which will increase my knowledge and expertise in youth ministry
- Materials to help me turn the cedar chest (aka wardrobe) in my bedroom into a small recording booth for recording audiobooks and voiceovers
- An iPad with some basic accessories (cover, screen protector, smart pencil) to help be read eBook more easily and simplify some business
- Submission fees for two books awards that will give these titles more credibility and visibility
- Upgrade my Logos Bible Software to help increase my Bible research tools and allow me to digitize my Bible resource library
Next Goal
Based on my current progress, I am now moving towards my next goal of $2500 (an additional $1000 from my current total) by the end of the year in hopes of being able to cover the following items to further expand my publishing ministry.
- a year of Microsoft 365 subscription, where I do all of my writing and most of my graphic designing for my books and advertising
- my website plan renewal and domain renewal fees for a few years
- additional submission fees for book awards that will give my books further credibility
- book printing costs so that I can do more in-person author events
